House Financial Services Committee Chair Maxine Waters just got a wake-up call.
Joe Collins, a Navy veteran, is looking to oust her from Congress. Collins is challenging the longtime Democratic leader for California’s 43rd congressional district.
And Collins is wasting no time in his push to get Waters out of office.
He doesn’t even want to wait until the polls open in November –– he’s urging his supporters to sign a petition now for Waters to be removed from office.
Maxine Waters has failed our people too many times.
Please sign my petition to tell her to retire today and support my campaign to win back the Congress seat she holds & rebuild our community!https://t.co/6Brnl56YpN

Collins is taking aim at Democratic leadership –– including Waters –– for their lack of leadership in a state hit hard by the Wuhan virus pandemic.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was infamously seen bragging about her collection of ice cream while her residents starved.
Collins, in a video interview with The Daily Caller, stressed that liberal policymaking had already contributed to the state’s worsening issues such as homelessness and a growing number of low-income families — issues made worse by the quarantine shutdown.
“When you close our state down, when you close our cities down [you] put a strain on people who are already struggling, especially when you’re not providing resources,” he said.
“We need help,” he added. “And if our government won’t open up we have to protest to show our disdain for their lack of leadership ability.”
“It’s clear that the governor and the legislators, are not going to give us resources.”

A native of South Central, Los Angeles, Collins has become vocal amid the coronavirus pandemic, organizing protests and joining California residents who want to see the state reopened.
Voters seem to be rallying around his leadership.
For Waters, that could mean she needs a new job after November.
