Just how insane has the Democratic Party become in their all-out assault on President Donald Trump?
Look no further than Rep. Maxine Waters’ smug grin when she told CNN that she didn’t see the need for any facts of wrongdoing to impeach Trump.
She’s just waiting for her fellow party members to come around — and they are. It has her smiling from ear-to-ear, and CNN is all to happy to give her a platform.
Trump Derangement Syndrome has gotten so bad, the left is admitting they only rely on feeling… not facts.
“I am pleased that I started the conversation [on impeachment] early,” Waters told CNN’s Fredricka Wilson on Sunday. Barely able to contain her grin, she went on to say that the rest of Congress was coming around.
“I know that the Congress of the United States is slow and reticent to do it without having all of the facts and we’re waiting on Mueller to come back with the information,” Waters said.
“We want to hear what Cohen has to say,” she continued, saying there was still information she didn’t know about… but that she had a good feeling she was right that Trump should be impeached.
“And so we have a ways to go,” she said. “But, I believe that I’ve been right all along, that I was able to understand what he’s all about.”
“I believe that the president early on had defined himself as someone who was incapable of being a legitimate president,” Waters said. “So I started the conversation. Of course, we got a lot of criticism. I got a lot of criticism but he has been defining himself ever since.”
Now that other Democratic lawmakers are starting to come around “you will hear impeachment being talked about more and more,” Waters predicted.
Asked if any facts would change her mind, Waters said no.
“I’m never going to change my mind on it,” Waters she told CNN. “I said what I believe in. I’m going to move forward as the chair doing legitimate work of the Financial Services Committee. That doesn’t stop me from doing that.”
