Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., hates President Donald Trump so much that she’s lost all ability to be rational.
The Mueller report proved once and for all that Trump did not collude with the Russians to win the 2016 election.
And what’s Waters’ reaction?
“I’m still saying impeach 45,” she said at the recent Woman’s National Democratic Club dinner.
But there was no wrongdoing.
Obstruction?
Nope.
No collusion.
And Maxine Waters is still on the war path. She’s bitter, cynical and reaching for everything.
Even while most other Democrats have given up on the impeachment fantasy, Waters remains delusional.
“So, some people say, ‘How dare her come out and say impeach him? She doesn’t know enough about him to talk about impeaching him,’” Waters said, before doubling down on the fable that has blinded Democrats for two years now.
She said that Trump “certainly… conspired with the Kremlin and with the oligarchs of Russia.”
Really? Where’s the evidence?
Any more time spent by politicians beating a dead drum of collusion is a waste – Waters should spend more time on governing rather than trying to tear down the walls of the White House.
And Waters apparently doesn’t trust Attorney General William Barr, who’s working in tandem with Robert Mueller to thoroughly redact any witness names whose lives might be in danger.
“I know that you are all worried about the special counsel and the fact that we have a report that has been described to us in a letter by the attorney general. We don’t know what’s in the report yet, and we’re going to demand it.”
Citing “subpoena power,” Waters claimed that the Democrats could get to the bottom of things.
Mueller already got to the bottom of things, though. No collusion.
In fact, Waters may be the only prominent Democrat even focused on impeachment at this point.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admitted a month ago that impeachment was pointless. It’s a leftist dream that will never see the light of day.
Of course, Waters just can’t give it up.
