Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., led Democratic lawmakers Tuesday in a fiery rally calling for the stop to tech billionaire Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” and his work to drastically cut spending in federal agencies during a protest at the U.S. Treasury Building.
President Donald Trump and Musk are asking questions about where American taxpayer dollars are being spent… and Democratic Party lawmakers are freaking out about it.
“We have got to tell Elon Musk that nobody elected your a**. Nobody told you you could get all of our private information. Nobody told you you could be in charge of the payments of this country,” Waters told protesters.
“We have told you that you’ve made enough money off our government yourself, and now you want to take everybody else’s payroll and make sure that they don’t make the kind of money that you’ve made,” she said.
Waters, who has worked a job in the public sector paying approximately $175k annually, has somehow become extremely wealthy and lives in a multimillion-dollar mansion outside her home district.
Video of Waters viral “meltdown” — as well as clips of other Democratic lawmakers calling for violence — quickly went viral.

Treasury officials responded to the protests with assurances about system security, which went largely unnoticed in the mainstream media.
“Treasury has no higher obligation than managing the government’s finances on behalf of the American people, and its payments system is critical to that process,” wrote Jonathan Blum, Treasury legislative affairs official.
Ed Martin, Washington’s acting U.S. attorney, warned against interfering with Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency staff: “Any threats, confrontations, or other actions in any way that impact their work may break numerous laws.”
The protests follow Musk’s announcement Monday that his agency would absorb the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), with Secretary of State Marco Rubio assuming acting director duties. Three federal employee unions have filed lawsuits challenging the reorganization.
USAID has been completely unaccountable for decades, run by bureaucrats with agendas who believed they answered to nobody.
