In her three decades as a congresswoman, Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., has somehow turned her $174,000 a year annual salary into an estimated $10 million dollar fortune.
Waters lives in luxury a multi-million dollar mansion located outside the 43rd district of California she represents. She regularly flies first class across the country and allegedly used U.S. Air Marshalls as a personal “concierge service.”
And even her family enjoys the many benefits of her position of power.
According to a new report by the Daily Caller —
Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters paid her daughter over $15,000 with campaign funds during the most recent quarter, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) numbers reviewed by the Daily Caller.
The latest FEC records show Waters is still paying her daughter Karen Waters a total of $16,500 during Q2 from April 1 through June 30. The records became available July 15. The purpose of the payments on the FEC records says “Slate Mailer Management Fee.”
Waters has a history of financial scandals and has been named the “Most Corrupt Member of Congress” five times by the left-leaning Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics (CREW) in Washington — in 2005, 2006, 2009, 2011, and 2017.
In 2010, she was charged with three ethics violations in connection to the alleged misuse of former President Barack Obama’s massive 2008 financial bailout.
Waters was accused at the time of earmarking $12 million in taxpayer money into a small, regional bank her husband was invested in.
Despite this scrutiny, Waters has paid her daughter a generous six figures annually for years to run her campaign mailing program, totaling well over $1.1 million in payments.
Despite all of this, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi assigned Waters as the chairperson of the United States House Committee on Financial Services in 2021.
Isn’t that convenient?
