Massive conservative protest in London

Tens of thousands of conservative voters gathered in London Saturday for a powerful “Unite the Kingdom” rally that honored the memory of assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk while calling for free speech and British sovereignty.

Police estimated 110,000 people joined the march through central London, making it one of the largest conservative demonstrations in British history. Organizers themselves claimed the attendance may have reached into the “millions” as streams of demonstrators carrying English and British flags filled the streets chanting “We want our country back!”

The rally was organized by conservative activist Tommy Robinson, who dedicated the event to honoring Kirk’s legacy following his shocking murder Wednesday at Utah Valley University in Utah.

“A man who inspired a generation of young men based on courage and based on faith,” Robinson told the cheering crowd, which chanted Kirk’s name in tribute.

Robinson played a heartwarming tribute video to Kirk that included a viral clip of the Turning Point USA founder giving life advice to a 13-year-old girl, calling it a tribute to “honor the life of one of our generation’s greatest.”

Demonstrators throughout the crowd carried framed photographs of Kirk and banners celebrating his conservative activism. One sign read “Freedom of speech is dead. RIP Charlie Kirk,” while others displayed “We stand together” messages alongside Kirk’s image.

Elon Musk addressed the massive crowd via video link, delivering a powerful condemnation of left-wing violence following Kirk’s assassination.

“You see how much violence there is on the left, with our friend Charlie Kirk getting murdered in cold blood this week, and people on the left celebrating it openly,” Musk said, calling the left “the party of murder.”

Robinson praised Musk for purchasing Twitter and restoring free speech rights to conservative voices, saying Saturday’s historic turnout would not have been possible without that platform.

“The British public were telling the world they’re ready to fight back,” Robinson said, linking the demonstration directly to Musk giving conservatives a voice.

Musk warned that Britain faces a critical moment in defending its identity and democratic values.

“You can’t get to the truth without freedom of speech, without active debate… the essence of democracy is a government for the people, by the people,” he told the crowd.

“I see a rapidly increasing erosion of Britain with massive, uncontrolled migration and a government that has failed in its duty to protect its citizens,” Musk continued.

“Britain is at a fork in the road — to darkness or greatness — and that will be decided only in a matter of years.”

Robinson told supporters that migrants now had more rights in British courts than the “British public, the people that built this nation,” a common complaint that there is a two-tiered justice systems negatively affecting native-born citizens in the United Kingdom.

The demonstration comes as Britain grapples with record levels of illegal immigration, with over 28,000 migrants arriving by small boats across the English Channel this year alone. The issue has become the dominant political concern for British voters, eclipsing economic worries.

Aerial footage showed seas of red and white as demonstrators carried the St. George’s Cross flag of England and the Union Jack through central London toward Westminster, the seat of Parliament.

Robinson billed the march as a demonstration for free speech and in defense of British heritage and culture, themes that resonated powerfully with attendees who traveled from across the country to participate.

The massive turnout demonstrates the growing appeal of MAGA-style politics in Britain. Many protesters wore Trump campaign hats and American flags alongside their British flags.

A smaller counter-protest organized by “Stand up to Racism” drew approximately 5,000 people.

Robinson’s movement has gained significant momentum through social media in recent years, allowing organizers to mobilize far larger crowds than previous demonstrations that numbered in the hundreds or low thousands during the early 2010s.
