Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-M.A., is on the warpath in the 2020 Democratic primary — and liberals are eating it up.
She’s doing so well with Democratic voters, in part, because she has unveiled a slew of radical, far-left ideas that she claims will be “free” to the American people.
Believing she actually has a shot at defeating President Donald Trump, Warren has unveiled a top executive action that she would take as president – and it’s going to cost YOU big.
Warren made her announcement in a Medium post and detailed several executive actions that are intended NOT to help all Americans.
One of the most controversial sections of the announcement is in Warren’s plan to require federal contractors to report data on employees’ pay and role, broken down by race, gender, and age.
As part of this, Warren would force federal agencies not to enter new contracts with companies that aren’t diverse enough for her standards.
So what’s so wrong about Warren’s promises?
For starters, her entire premise that women of color are being disproportionately overlooked and punished because of their race is a total lie.
Joel Griffith, a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation, spoke on why the issue of uneven pay isn’t based on race or gender.
“For gender, once you account for differences in education, experience, and lifestyle choices, the gap almost completely disappears. When you adjust for education and experience or performance on cognitive tests that takes care of the gap” he said.
In other words, if you take away education, experience, and lifestyle choices, there is no gap.
That means that the issue is not actually “racism” because it’s not based on race.
So when Warren starts demanding companies to hire people who aren’t educated and/or experienced, their quality and productivity will likely decrease. It doesn’t take the owner of a business to know that this is an awful idea.
But that’s not all that’s wrong with her plan.
Countless experts have published studies showing that raising the national minimum wage to $15 per hour would be catastrophic to small businesses and eliminate many jobs.
According to a report by the Congressional Budget Office released Monday, Democrats’ signature policy proposal to raise the federal minimum wage would cost roughly 1.3 million jobs nationwide.
That was the “soft” estimate.
The CBO states that the upper estimate reveals that 3.7 million jobs could be lost and taken from Americans if Democrats get their way and raise the national minimum wage to $15/hr.
The nonpartisan agency also predicted a $9 billion drop in “real income” by 2025, which would mainly result in small businesses taking a hit on their income as well as price increases for goods and services across the economy.
Warren is basically promising to cripple our economy by not only paying what we can’t afford but also by requiring the companies to hire people who can’t even do the job.
Democrats like Warren routinely make promises without counting the expense.
Liberals loved her for her detailed policy — but little do they realize that almost anyone can draw up a policy as long as someone else will pay for it.
