Sex tape star turned social media celebrity Kim Kardashian decided she is a credible source on gun control and wanted to share her personal opinion with the world — but it doesn’t make any sense.
Kardashian thinks that Americans should not be able to own guns, with the exception of her security detail employed to protect her.
Friday, June 2nd was marked as national gun violence awareness day, and Kardashian posted to her website that she would be wearing orange to show her support for stricter gun laws.
Along with the announcement of her wardrobe, she detailed her reasons for why she is a gun control advocate, writing:
“I’m not against guns and I’m not against people owning guns. After what happened to me in Paris, I know how important it is to be safe and to have armed security. All of my security team is armed, but they also support stricter gun control laws and believe we should restrict access to firearms for people with mental illness, anyone previously convicted of a misdemeanor, those who have been subject to a temporary restraining order and those at a higher risk of committing gun violence.”
Kardashian was robbed in at gunpoint in Paris in October of 2016, when thieves tied her up and locked her in the bathroom of her hotel room. An undeniably scarring experience, but one that seems to of made her even more out-of-touch from everyday Americans.
Now she seems to believe that everyone should just get their own armed security detail for protection. It’s that easy!

Kardashian was reportedly ticketed in 2013 for speeding in her Rolls Royce, and it’s safe to assume she, like most people, has had other ticketing offenses in the past.
