House Speaker Nancy Pelosi thinks Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is a child.
A sneak peek of Pelosi’s upcoming April 20 biography dropped in the media Monday — and what the House Speaker said about her so-called political ally is getting headlines.
Ocasio-Cortez will no doubt hate this.
According to reports, Pelosi used a child-like voice to mock Ocasio-Cortez and her “Squad” when speaking about them.
“You’re not a one-person show,” she said about Ocasio-Cortez. “This is the Congress of the United States.”
Pelosi was no doubt referring to the celebrity status AOC enjoys and the emergence of the far-left that has shaken up Congress, particularly on the Democrats side of the aisle.
If there was any mistaking as to how the top Democrat felt about Ocasio-Cortez and company, those concerns have been put to bed with the explosive comments.
The remarks featured in her biography come on the heels of a Bloomberg report that Ocasio-Cortez and the Squad had been transitioning into a period of peace.
Jarrell Dillard wrote of the Squad:”… their decision to play by Congress’ rules is giving them clout in a government under unified Democratic control with President Joe Biden.”
We’ll see how long that lasts with these comments from Pelosi.
No matter how the Democrats try to slice it in the media, behind the scenes the establishment side and the far-left are battling for influence.
Pelosi’s choice words are also coming shortly after a study revealed that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is among the least efficient members of Congress.
She ranked 230 out of 240 Democrats, and in her home state of New York she placed dead last (19).
A pundit noted about the study that, while she had her name on a ton of bills, she couldn’t get them passed. The young congresswoman’s brash style of politics and hard left-leaning tendencies has left her alienated when it comes to passing bills.
We’re guessing Pelosi may have noticed.
With that being the case, her most recent words come as no surprise.
