Recording artist Kid Rock went viral in April for shooting a case of Bud Light. At the time, Rock was criticizing Bud Light’s decision to partner with Dylan Mulvaney, who gained famed for posting TikTok videos of her first year as a transexual.
“F**k Bud Light, and f**k Anheuser-Busch,” Rock said before firing the gun.
On Wednesday, however, he encouraged conservatives to end the boycott. “I think they got the message,” Rock said Wednesday.
Rock also criticized the boycott last month during a conversation with Fox News star Sean Hannity.
Hannity said at the time, “I had never in my whole life ever supported a boycott. I’d never call for a firing or a cancelation ever, even people I can’t stand, like –”
Rock interrupted, “By the way, I didn’t, either… I just said, ‘F. you guys!’ I didn’t say boycott or cancel. I said, ‘F. you!'”
Hannity continued, “The guys that work in the factories, the guys that load the trucks. They’re not the guys that made that stupid you-know.”
Rock agreed. “Working-class people,” he said.
Radio star Megyn Kelly urged conservatives to continue the boycott, anyway.
“This is like the only successful boycott that Republicans have ever engaged in. It’s the only time they’ve stuck together and actually been heard,” Kelly said. “I like Kid Rock. I actually do. I like the guy, but he’s wrong.”
On Wednesday, Rock went on Newsmax to bash Kelly. He encouraged conservatives to declare victory and pursue other, newer goals.
“I’m pretty sure they got the message,” Rock said Wednesday on Newsmax.
“They made a mistake. All right. I don’t need to kill them,” Rock said, “Do I agree with what they did? F., no! And we held their head under water for quite some time and we hurt them. But, you know, I’m not someone to keep punching somebody when they’re down, when there’s a whole lot more companies deserving of this treatment… I love Megyn. We’ve been friends for a long time, but she’s got this one wrong.”
