Kellyanne Conway was the subject of an inappropriate, unprofessional, and flat-out sexist joke two weeks ago by Democratic Rep. Cedric Richmond.
And when Minority House Leader Nancy Pelosi (a self-proclaimed feminist) refused to defend a fellow woman, Conway slammed Pelosi for her shameless hypocrisy.
In an interview with Fox News host Howard Kurtz over the weekend, Conway was asked about the lack of response from Pelosi and her claim she was unaware of the comment, to which Conway said, “The silence is deafening.”
She continued, “I was very disappointed in her. She was either not telling the truth when she said she wasn’t aware, or it’s not important enough to her caucus that they would bring this to her attention.”
Conway touched on Pelosi’s recent encouragement of resignation of members of Trump’s cabinet, but her total lack of criticism when a Democrat is the one who’s in the hot seat.
“She had nothing to say about a Democratic congressman, a member of her own caucus, issuing such a tasteless, sexist joke, which a lot of liberals in the room did not think was funny.”
When Pelosi was questioned about the sexist remark, she immediately deflected blame to President Donald Trump, lambasting him for remarks he made over 10 years ago.
It’s further proof of the leftist hypocrisy that respecting women is only important when it fits their narrative.
While a few Democrats recognized the shame in Richmond’s comments, the majority were silent. Conway recognized the hypocrisy in a tweet Thursday:
The boors are starting to bore me. So-called sisterhood alarmingly silent. Cedric Richmond's Sexist, Unfunny Joke | https://t.co/4cfPdcEdwM
