Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki grabbed headlines Monday when she came clean about the White House to NBC News — and a Fox News star used the viral moment to trap the Biden administration’s current White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.
Psaki said the spike in crime would seriously hurt the Democratic Party in the upcoming midterm election.
The Biden administration “know that crime is a huge vulnerability for Democrats; maybe the biggest vulnerability,” Psaki told NBC News host Chuck Todd.
Jean-Pierre was left to answer the brutally honest observation from Psaki.
And Fox News star Peter Doocy held her feet to the flames when he asked Jean-Pierre about the quote during a press conference on Monday.
“Does Biden think America’s big cities are safe?” Doocy asked, citing several high-profile crimes that have made headlines recently. “Should everyday Americans who are not in the public eye feel safe?”

“Jen Psaki says that ‘crime is a huge vulnerability for Democrats.’ Why would she say that?” Doocy asked.
Jean-Pierre deflected and said the direct quote was out of “characterization of what [Psaki] actually said.”
Not to be outdone, the Republican National Committee responded with Psaki’s direct quote —
Karine Jean-Pierre, today: "I don't agree with [the] characterization” that Jen Psaki said crime is a “vulnerability for Democrats.”
