Vice President Kamala Harris’ job as the so-called border czar in the Biden administration has been an unmitigated disaster.
On Sunday, Chuck Todd confronted Harris on the 2 million illegal border crossings that will happen this year — an all-time high.
The vice president’s response was wild… and we’ve got a 0:55 video that proves her completely wrong below.
WATCH: The U.S. will have 2 million people cross its border for the first time. #MTP@VP: “We have a secure border in that that is a priority. … But there are still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix given the deterioration that happened over the last four years.” pic.twitter.com/7ZpvE9sX0g

“I want to ask you about the border,” Todd said. “Would you call the border secure?”
“I think that there is no question that we have to do what the president and I asked Congress to do, the first request we made: pass a bill to create a pathway to citizenship. The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular, over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed,” Harris responded.
“We’re going to have two million people cross this border for the first time ever,” Todd said. “You’re confident this border’s secure?”
“We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration,” the vice president claimed. “But there are still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix given the deterioration that happened over the last four years.”
Republicans pounced, slamming Harris for the record number of border crossings and security holes they’ve urged the federal government to close for years.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-T.N., also had something to say about that.
She slammed Harris’ border failures on social media because Harris has never bothered to visit the U.S. border.
Maybe if Kamala Harris actually visited the border she would know the border is not secure.

Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, said she was “dumbfounded” by the vice president’s remarks. She told Fox News —
I am dumbfounded that we have an administration that is ignoring the humanitarian crisis and the risk this poses to all communities across the United States as they allow those illegal immigrants to cross over the southern border and then release them into the interior. We know that there are folks on the terrorist watch list that have been apprehended. How many of them got away? I mean, these are concerns that we have with the fentanyl crisis, with human trafficking, with, of course, weapons trafficking. All of this is extremely concerning to everyday Americans as they see crime continue to rise all across the United States.
In a shocking video from Fox News, over a dozen illegal immigrants wearing camouflage were recently seen easily scaling the border wall between Mexico and Arizona that Harris claimed was secure.
Not a single one is caught.
Not one even acknowledges they’re on camera.
EXCLUSIVE: In just a 45 minute span in Naco, AZ, our team saw over a dozen illegal immigrants dressed in camouflage use a rope to scale the border wall, then run into AZ. None were caught, making them “gotaways”. There have been over 500,000 gotaways so far this year. @FoxNews pic.twitter.com/kV29qahnEY
