Former Vice President Kamala Harris crawled out of political obscurity Tuesday to celebrate the Democrats win in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election — and rumors immediately swirled on social media that Harris was slurring her speech and appeared inebriated.
Harris posted a TikTok video congratulating Wisconsin voters that left many viewers wondering if she’d raided the wine cabinet before hitting record.
“Hi, Wisconsin, to all of you,” Harris said. “I just wanted to pop by to say thank you. You all are just extraordinary. You love our country. You care. You are making such extraordinary sacrifices on behalf of so many people, on behalf of communities, on behalf of people you may never meet.”
If you’re keeping score at home, that’s two “extraordinaries” and three “on behalf ofs.” But the real kicker came when she attacked Elon Musk: “There is an unelected billionaire who should not and will not have a greater voice than the working people of Wisconsin.”
Harris was celebrating liberal candidate Susan Crawford’s victory over Republican Brad Schimel in the Badger State. The win entrenches a 4-3 Democratic majority on the court, which will likely cost Republicans two House seats through redistricting before 2026.
The timing couldn’t be better (or painful) as polls show Harris still leading Democratic primary polls for 2028, despite losing Wisconsin to President Donald Trump. It’s entirely because of name recognition, but it’s still mind-boggling when every time Harris emerges from hiding, she gives a “How Not to Communicate” masterclass.
Take a look at the video and decide for yourself: Was Harris drunk?
