President Donald Trump’s administration delivered a reckoning for former President Joe Biden’s open border legacy and it’s role in the trafficking of thousands of children on Thursdssay.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced that federal investigators have located 146,000 of the nearly 450,000 illegal immigrant children that went missing under Biden’s watch.
Mullin said many of the missing Biden children were found in horrible conditions almost beyond description.
“We found 146,000 kids so far,” Mullin revealed at a press conference Thursday. “We still have nearly 300,000 missing.”
“We’re investigating reports to where some of these kids claim that they were raped 600 to 700 times,” Mullin revealed.
“I don’t care who you are. I don’t care if you have kids. You don’t have kids. I don’t care if you’re a liberal, you’re independent, you’re a Democrat. You’re Republican. If you can’t stand for law enforcement to go find these kids, who are you? Who are you?”
Mullin said the Biden administration knowingly let tens of thousands of the most vulnerable children on Earth fall into the hands of human traffickers and sexual predators.
“When we start digging into these cases, and you start hearing the absolute horrific things that took place underneath the Biden administration,” Mullin said, “either true neglect at best and criminal at worst, to allow 450,000 kids to go missing throughout this country.”
Under Biden, more than 10 million illegal immigrants poured across the southern border, including more than half a million children who arrived without a parent or guardian. By law, those children were placed in the custody of the HHS, which was responsible for placing these children with safe adults.
They lost hundreds of thousands of them. According to Thursday’s officials and a damning series of prior government audits, what happened was a catastrophic failure at every level.
A 2024 HHS Office of Inspector General audit found that 22% of children placed with sponsors never received required well-being checks and follow-up calls. In 16% of case files, there was no proof that sponsors ever underwent required safety checks. In 19% of cases, children were released to unknown adults before FBI fingerprint results had even come back from background checks.
When investigators reviewed data, they found that 81,000 addresses had been used more than once, a clear red flag that Biden officials had fed the children directly into a human trafficking ring.
Twenty-seven minors located during the search have been found dead from murder, suicide, or drug overdose. Many more have been rescued from labor trafficking operations, debt bondage situations, and according to HHS senior advisor John Fabbricatore, “brought into situations and then treated like sexual slaves.”
The Trump administration’s search operation to find these missing children started in March 2025 at Trump’s direction and was assigned to Border Czar Tom Homan. When the team began, just 22,000 children had been located. That number now stands at 146,000.
Approximately 300,000 of Biden’s missing children are still unaccounted for.
