Joe Biden has a Supreme Court problem

Democrats are heading for a disaster, and not one liberal lawmaker wants to talk about it.

According to a report in The Hill, President Joe Biden’s agenda is at risk.

And it’s all because of one person.

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.

The liberal justice has been facing an immense amount of pressure from far-left liberal activists to retire — as pundits predict that Republicans will likely regain control of the House and Senate in 2022, which would make the confirmation process for his replacement a nightmare.

It has set the stage for a battle between activists and their elected leaders on Capitol Hill that could make or break Biden’s presidency.

Democrats in Congress are so far silent on what Breyer should decide.

“Oh, I have no comment on that,” said Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. “None.”

The reason why Democrats like Warren don’t want to speak about it?

If Breyer should indeed retire, it could further interrupt Biden’s plan to pass both a budget resolution and infrastructure bill.

In other words, Biden’s long to-do list could be ruined with a sudden Supreme Court vacancy.

Other Democrats are worried about the whole process of a Supreme Court nomination turning into a partisan bloodbath.

But history offers a clue into Democrats’ fears about their future fears as well.

Alexander Bolton of The Hill points to the past administration of former President Donald Trump, who had Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett confirmed but not before stalling legislation.

Of course, activists argue that liberals will be down yet another seat should Breyer wait to retire.

If the GOP recaptures Capitol Hill and Biden loses re-election, it could mean an unprecedented 7-2 tilt in favor of conservatives.

And it’s a big problem for Biden.
