Former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign is running out of steam — and conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh had some more bad news waiting for Biden on Thursday morning.
According to Limbaugh, President Donald Trump’s successful 2020 campaign re-election launch rally in Orlando this week wasn’t just good news for Trump supporters.
The staggering crowd of 100,000 Trump voters that packed Amway Center on Tuesday dwarfed the Biden campaign’s kickoff rally, which drew just 6,000 people in May.
But voter enthusiasm isn’t the only big trouble for Biden, according to Rush’s analysis.
“Imagine if you’re Joe Biden last night,” Rush said on his Wednesday show. “You’re Joe Biden last night, and your advisers come in and they say, ‘Joe, don’t sweat it, don’t sweat anything that happened last night. What happened last night doesn’t mean anything, Joe. The debates are the only thing that matter, Joe, and you’re gonna wipe the floor with this guy, Joe. You’re gonna wipe the floor about him in the debates, and you got the big money behind you, Joe. You got fundraisers, you’re setting records all over. Joe, don’t sweat this stuff last night.'”
“So they tell Joe all that… and Joe is feeling pretty good!” Rush said. “He’s able to discount what he saw, he can ignore the excitement, his advisers are telling him it doesn’t matter, and he’s gonna wipe the floor with Trump. Besides, he’s got all the big money,” Rush said.
“And then they discover something that they have to keep something from him and they hope he never finds out about it,” he said.
That’s when the bombshell dropped.
It turns out Biden’s one-day fundraising record in May wasn’t just broken by Trump this week.
According to a tweet by the Republican National Committee, Trump’s re-election campaign raised nearly $25 million in donations in the first 24 hours.
Biden raised just over $6 million in donations in his presidential campaign’s first 24 hours. In the first three months, he’s received $20 million in donations — almost $5 million less than Trump managed in just one day.
Not only is voter enthusiasm for Trump’s re-election campaign sky high, but donations are pouring in faster than all the other Democratic candidates combined.
That has left Biden’s campaign very, very worried, Limbaugh claimed.
“So [Biden’s advisors] tell Joe, “Don’t worry, you’re gonna wipe the floor with the guy in the debates. You got the money advantage, Joe. What happened last night doesn’t matter,'” Limbaugh said about the rally sizes. “Then this tweet comes out with the fundraising record, and they’re all trying to figure out how to make sure he doesn’t find out about that.”
“I guarantee you something like that happened,” Limbaugh said. “They can’t keep him from finding out, but I guarantee you they started sweating bullets.”
What do you think?
Is Limbaugh right that Biden is very worried?
