Joe Biden’s considered the “moderate” Democrat in the 2020 presidential race — even still he believes politicians can crush any freedom that stands in their way like progressives do.
And now Biden is planning to crush the First Amendment.
He’s saying he’s going to do it with a simple vote, he says. The statement wasn’t one of the 76-year-old’s many verbal gaffes or mental misfires.
Biden made it when he was young, fit, and mentally alert—in 1974, when he was 31 years old. At the time a reporter went to Washington to do the first long-form profile of Biden, who was serving his very first term in the Senate… and the journalist said he threatened to destroy her freedoms.
She wrote that Joe Biden believes politicians can do anything they want.
“He defines politics as power,” she wrote in the 1974 article for “Washington Monthly.”
Then she quotes a chilling line Biden told her, face to face.

“’And, whether you like it or not, young lady,’ he says, leaning over his desk to shake a finger at me, ‘us cruddy politicians can take away that First Amendment of yours if we want to.’”
The reporter said she couldn’t ask a follow-up question: “There’s no time to pursue the point—Biden is summoned to the floor for a vote.”
But if there’s ever a statement that demands a follow-up question, it’s this one!
Does Biden really think Congress can repeal the First Amendment? The God-given freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion — does he think Washington can wipe them all out?
We know this much — the longtime politician thinks he can do whatever he wants. Biden gave proof of that this weekend, when Peter Doocy asked Biden about his son’s dirty dealings in Ukraine.
Biden exploded, apparently because he only wanted to hear journalists talk about how corrupt President Donald Trump is.
“Ask the right question!” Biden screamed at the reporter.

What most people never reported was that it was the second time Biden went after the Fox News journalist in a few weeks. Last month, when Doocy called him on his blatant lie that he drew the biggest crowds on the campaign trail, Biden screamed at him, “I know you’re going to go after me no matter what!”
Biden blew his top at yet another conservative reporter, Breitbart News’ Joel Pollak, for pressing Joe over misquoting Trump.
His anger against the media has been a habit, and evidence that he’d have no problem with taking away free speech.
The scary thing is, Biden isn’t the first Democrat to talk about taking away the First Amendment… he’s not even the first one this month.
The same threat came from the third most powerful man in the House of Representatives.
House Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., told MSNBC, “I really believe sincerely – the climate that we’re in today – if the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments of the United States Constitution, were put before the public today, I’m not too sure that we would hold onto the Bill of Rights.”
Clyburn said he felt the Constitution was doomed, “especially when I see what people are doing with the Second Amendment and no telling what they would do with the First Amendment.”
Since then, his House colleagues have told us what they want to do to the First Amendment.

His fellow Democrats held a hearing last week to end tax-exempt status for groups listed as “hate groups” by the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center. Obama’s IRS boss, Lois G. Lerner, denied tax-exempt status to any group that backed the Tea Party, the U.S. Constitution, or faith and freedom.
Lerner handed down the word: If you don’t agree with Obama, you’re going to lose your right to speak.
Democrats have never exactly been the party to uphold and defend the Constitution, but this election they’ve ripped off the mask and admitted they want to throw the Bill of Rights in the dumpster and replace it with socialism.
They want to send cops to your home to take away your guns — Second Amendment be damned.
They want the NSA to spy on every cell phone call you make, e-mail you send, or website you visit — Fourth Amendment be damned.
They want the national government to set national policy in all 50 states.
And now they’re admitting they want to take away the First Amendment, too.
Brain fog? It’s probably NOT your brain! [Sponsored]
