Should current polls hold through the 2022 midterm election, President Joe Biden will be in serious legal trouble.
Republicans are poised to regain control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

And voters want them to use that power to impeach Biden.
That’s according to a stunning new poll from Rassmussen Reports, where 50 percent of likely voters said they backed impeaching Biden over the U.S. Southern border crisis and the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.
33 percent of likely voters told the pollsters they strongly support Biden’s impeachment. Only 45 percent of voters oppose it.
Surprisingly, 45 percent of all likely voters expect the impeachment to happen if the Republican Party regains control of Congress.
“Half of voters believe President Joe Biden should be impeached, and nearly as many think Republicans will do it if they win a congressional majority in the midterm elections,” Rassmussen Reports wrote on Monday.
The results reflect Biden’s overall struggles in the polls. According to the Rassmussen daily presidential approval poll, only 39 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s job as commander in chief.

A staggering 59 percent of voters say they disapprove.
A number of Republican lawmakers have already touched on the subject of Biden’s impeachment.
“This is a complete, aggravated dereliction of duty, which is why last night on Twitter I called for Joe Biden to be impeached and removed,” Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., told Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” last week about the border crisis.
“His primary obligation as the commander-in-chief and president of the United States is to enforce our laws, to live up to his oath, to enforce our border security, and to tell the truth to the American people.”
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said on a podcast in early January that Biden would likely be impeached by a GOP-controlled Congress “whether justified or not.”
“Yeah, I do think there’s a chance of that,” Cruz said about impeachment. “And whether it’s justified or not, as we talked about when ‘Verdict’ launched, the Democrats weaponized impeachment.”
“They used it for partisan purposes to go after Trump because they disagreed with him. And one of the real disadvantages of doing that … is the more you weaponize it and turn it into a partisan cudgel… you know, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”

“That’s not how impeachment is meant to work, but I think the Democrats crossed that line,” he said. “I think there’ll be enormous pressure on a Republican House to begin impeachment proceedings.”
