Joe Biden drops out of 2024 race? Biographer’s shocking reveal

Is President Joe Biden preparing to drop his reelection bid and remove himself from consideration in the 2024 election?

Biden’s biographer, Franklin Foer, said it would be a small surprise — but not “total shock” — if the 46th president is quietly preparing to withdrawal.

“I would say it would, it would be a surprise to me. But it wouldn’t be a total surprise,” Foer said when asked on a recent MSNBC appearance, adding that “it wouldn’t be a total shock.”

“When he talks about his life, he uses this word, fate, constantly,” he said. “Joe Biden is a very religious guy, and fate is a word loaded with religious meaning. And he always talks about, ‘He can’t say where fate goes.’ And so I always, when I hear that, to me, it’s the ellipses in the sentence when he’s talking about his own future.”

Foer’s admission comes amid troubling polls that show Biden slipping behind former President Donald Trump in key battleground states. Trump is the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

Biden has also been haunted by mounting legal troubles and a looming impeachment inquiry.

According to reports, the scandals have caused “growing anxiety” among Democratic Party leaders.

They fear Biden won’t be able to stop Trump’s return to the White House.

The Washington Post reported —

This series of political vulnerabilities — along with House Republicans announcing an impeachment inquiry and the Justice Department indicting Biden’s son on gun charges — is now sending waves of anxiety through parts of the Democratic Party, as some fret about whether the man who helped oust Donald Trump from the White House may not have the vitality, at 80, to successfully prevent a return.

…

Many in the party continue to voice confidence in Biden, and they note that Trump himself is not much younger at 77. But Biden’s allies are frustrated by the hand-wringing from an anxious faction of the party, and even as campaign officials point to the president’s record of defying skeptics, they are strategizing internally about how to best combat the unmistakable nervousness.

What are your thoughts?

Is it time for Biden to resign and sit out of politics?
