A stunning new poll released by the Wall Street Journal over the weekend rocked the election campaign of President Joe Biden and his Democratic allies.
The American public is not interested in his reelection campaign — and Biden’s approval rating has (again) hit an all-time low.
Former President Donald Trump, the clear front-runner of the Republican presidential primary, now enjoys a 4-point advantage in a hypothetical rematch against Biden, 47-43. Trump’s lead expands to 6 points when five potential third-party and independent candidates are added to the mix, 37-31 percent.
Even if Trump were convicted in one of his numerous criminal cases, The Journal reported that he still holds a narrow 1-point lead in a 2020 election rematch.
And the news just gets worse for the Biden camp.
Should former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley somehow knock off Trump, she dominates Biden in a head-to-head matchup.
The Journal reported that Haley has a massive 17-point polling advantage if she were to come from behind and win the Republican presidential nomination, 51-34. That would be the biggest election landslide since President Ronald Reagan trounced Walter Mondale by 18 points in 1980.
The poll had Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis tied with Biden, 45-45.
61 percent of those polled had an unfavorable opinion of Biden as president, and the 46th president had an all-time approval low of just 37 percent, The Journal poll said.
