On Wednesday, President Donald Trump and reality TV star Kim Kardashian met to discuss prison reform — and CNN’s Jim Acosta lost his mind over it.
Acosta slammed the meeting, calling it “not normal” for a president to meet with a celebrity figure. Conservatives, however, were quick to point out his insane hypocrisy.
In 2015, Acosta had a sitdown interview with singer john Legend to discuss the same exact subject. And Acosta never once objected to the numerous Hollywood celeb’s visits with former President Barack Obama.
Before the Trump and Kardashian meeting took place, Acosta said in the middle of a rant, “Forget about the fact that Kim Kardashian is here at the White House today and what planet that is anything-resembling-normal on, because it’s not.”
“She shouldn’t be here talking about prison reform. It’s very nice that she is here, but that’s not a serious thing to have happened here at the White House.”
When Acosta had interviewed Legend, prison reform was considered a serious thing — and the liberal host even declared the issue as “personal” for the musician.
Acosta’s hypocrisy did not go unnoticed by Mediaite’s Joseph A. Wulfsohn who wrote an opinion piece titled, “Jim Acosta Trashes Kim Kardashian’s Prison Reform Efforts As Not ‘Serious’ After Taking John Legend’s Seriously in 2015.”
Take a look at a clip from Acosta’s sitdown with Legend —
“If your argument is that Legend is some intellect singer-songwriter and Kardashian is some air-headed reality star, that misses the point. Look at what they have in common; they’re A-list celebrities with huge followings who have sincere passions that involve politics and in this case, both are using their celebrity status on prison reform,” Wulfsohn wrote.
“Perhaps it’s his disdain for Donald Trump, a president who he essentially admitted doesn’t take seriously,” Wulfsohn added.
Many other conservatives took note of Acosta’s double standard and reacted on Twitter —

@Acosta man you're a REAL HYPOCRITE aren't you. John Legend 2015 ring a bell? Now you criticize Kim Kardashian for the same thing? Do you realize how STUPID you look to us?

Fake News CNN still has yet to comment on Acosta’s sudden change of heart regarding prison reform.
Several other Hollywood celebs including Harvey Weinstein, Opray, Whoopi Goldberg, and Beyonce visited the White House during Obama’s era — so where was the outrage?
There was none, because those celebs fit into the liberal narrative. It’s just another example of the stunning double standards in the mainstream media.
