First lady Jill Biden’s trip to a Utah High School led to a “cringe” moment when photographers captured an unfortunate sign placement on the podium.
Turns out Jill taking a trip to “Hunter High School” wasn’t a great idea.
“Never underestimate your power or your worth,” Jill told students. “Right now, someone out there is a better thinker because of you. Someone is working a little harder because you pushed them to try. Someone is braver because you helped her find her courage. There is something profoundly optimistic about education.”
“To answer this call of service in itself, I think, is an act of hope. But I know that sometimes it feels like the weight is too much to carry for one person to take on alone,” she said. “We are working to honor this profession and give you the support you deserve – because there is no greater calling than educating the future.”
But it was pictures of Jill standing at the podium, where the “school” portion of the placard was cut off in photos, that went viral.
Troubled son Hunter Biden’s years of drug addiction came flooding back to the forefront with the words, “Hunter High” below the first lady.

Social media went nuts after the photo was released.
“Please tell me this was intentional. I am dying!” wrote one X user.
“As someone who’s done a lot of ‘advance’ work in politics, I’m really curious who screwed up & approved this podium sign for” Jill Biden, wrote another. “Either that or they’re trolling us.”
