In an apparent first, President Joe Biden’s administration may have been infiltrated by a foreign government not paying Hunter Biden.
A series of disturbing leaks and media reports show the Islamic Republic of Iran may have deeply penetrated the highest circles of Joe Biden’s diplomatic corps, giving them access to sensitive information and recording of private conversations.
On one hand, Iranian media have published a series of embarrassing details known only to those in the White House foreign policy team.
On September 17, the Tehran Times, published an audio recording of a private conversation of Biden’s point man in the region discussing the administration’s national security options toward Iran. The audio featured Brett McGurk, who is Biden’s White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, talking about the Ayatollah.
That came just a few weeks after the Iranian newspaper’s last exclusive: “sensitive but unclassified” documents that explain exactly why Biden’s special envoy to Iran, Robert Malley, lost his security clearance.
That’s big news, because the Biden administration has never officially fessed up to Congress about why it yanked his credentials, even when asked.
In April, the Biden administration claimed Malley just went on leave…until the press caught wind of an FBI investigation
“Despite repeated Congressional inquiries into the circumstances that led to the suspension of Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley’s security clearance, Members of Congress have obtained more information from the pages of the Tehran Times than from U.S. government briefings,” three Republican congressmen wrote in a letter to President Joe Biden on Wednesday.
They asked Biden to “please describe the steps your administration is taking to prevent further leaks of information to the Iranian regime? Which elements of the U.S. government have you tasked with this responsibility?”
That’s a good question. So far, Biden and his defenders have had no answers…but the front page leaks obtained by the Woodward-and-Bernstein of Iran are the least of Biden’s problems.
The real problem is his administration is crawling with Iranian agents, according to a blockbuster investigation.
It began a long, long time ago—and it involved the Obama administration, too.
In spring 2014, the government of Iran launched a new program to cultivate friendly “experts” and contacts inside and outside Western governments. It called the project the Iran Experts Initiative (IEI).
“At least three of the people on the Foreign Ministry’s list were, or became, top aides to Robert Malley, the Biden administration’s special envoy on Iran,” according to the intelligence website Semafor.com.
Emails obtained by Iran International, a London-based television station that covers the Islamic nation, “reveal the access (then-President Hassan) Rouhani’s diplomats have had to Washington’s and Europe’s policy circles, particularly during the final years of the Obama administration.”
IEI participants regularly told both governments, neutral third parties, and any media outlet that would listen that the two sides needed to “compromise” and uphold the deal allowing oil-rich Iran to process uranium for “energy purposes.”
That’s “a position in line with both the Obama and Rouhani administrations at the time,” Semafor pointed out.
A future spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry bragged that he had just added two new members to the secretive IEI: Ariane Tabatabai and Dina Esfandiary.
“We three agreed to be the core group of the IEI,” wrote Saeed Khatibzadeh in an email dated March 11, 2014.
Tabatabai currently serves as chief of staff to Joe Biden’s Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations—a job that comes with a security clearance.
Before that, she worked on Robert Malley’s Iran nuclear negotiating team.
“It’s not very often that my jaw drops open while reading an article as it did with this Semafor piece. There’s no two ways around this: top Obama and Biden officials were a part of a foreign influence operation by the Iranian regime,” said Morgan Ortagus, a spokesperson for the State Department during the Trump administration.
That set off alarm bells all over Washington.
“These reports and emails suggest a vast Iranian influence operation that goes to the very top of the administration,” said Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
“The Biden administration should immediately cease its secret diplomacy with Iran and its dismantling of sanctions, and any officials linked to these emails should immediately have their security clearances pulled until these allegations are fully resolved and accountability is imposed,” Cruz said.
Leaks published today show that the Iranian regime ran an extensive influence operation. It included members who are now top Biden administration officials involved in Iran issues.

A group of Republican congressmen are demanding that Biden’s Defense secretary come clean about the possible Iranian asset whom Biden gave access to America’s secrets.
Tabatabai’s “past employment history and close ties to the Iranian regime are alarming and should be disqualifying for anyone seeking such a sensitive position,” wrote two Republicans—Reps. Mike Rogers, of Alabama and Jack Bergman of Michigan—in a letter to Secretary Lloyd Austin.
“Are you aware of any instances of Ms. Tabatabai communicating with the Iranian regime?”
“Was Ms. Tabatabai hired as a political appointee?” they asked. “What were her unique qualifications?”

Some conservatives think they know why the Biden administration has been infiltrated: Because before the Iranians started running the show, the Obama family took over.
“The Obama-Biden team has – through Valerie Jarrett – been compromised by the Islamic Republic of Iran from day,” said conservative thinker Richard Viguerie.
Simple answer – because the Obama – Biden team has – through Valerie Jarrett – been compromised by the Islamic Republic of Iran from day 1 👇👇👇 https://t.co/krvgLtSIaP

Jarrett, a top advisor to Obama, was born in Shiraz, Iran.
If Viguerie is right, as he has been so often in the past, Iran’s penetration of America’s top-secret diplomatic information may be no accident at all.
