Trump Derangement Syndrome is real.
As in really irrational… and really getting dumber by the day.

As far as wacky, nutjob conspiracies go, this latest one may take the prize.
The leftist media went wild this week when Trump announced that he was canceling a planned visit to Denmark to meet with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
The cancellation was reportedly related to Frederiksen’s unwillingness to discuss a U.S. purchase of Greenland — something that has been considered at other points in American history.
Of course, it took about two seconds for the left’s anti-Trump machine to launch into overdrive.
David Frum from the ultra-liberal The Atlantic kicked things off by suggesting that Trump canceled the visit to Denmark from September 2-3 because he was worried that former President Barack Obama would get a bigger reception when he visits on September 28.

Yes, that’s right… Trump was apparently scared off a state visit because he was shaking in his loafers about a similar Obama visit 25 days later.
As crazy as that sounds, it’s even crazier when you contemplate how much press coverage an Obama trip to Denmark is really going to get.
Not much. And you’ll see that for yourself in late September.
Maybe it’ll be front-page news in Copenhagen. But not in the U.S. of A.
Of course, that didn’t stop the anti-Trump hype machine from stoking the story like wildfire.
Frum’s conspiracy theory was spread thousands of times all over social media.

The story was even picked up by outlets like The Root, which practically accepted it as fact.
How objective was The Root story? It referred to Obama as America’s “forever president.”
Yes, really.
Between Benghazi… Fast and Furious… shutting down investigations into Hezbollah… and secret payments to Iran, many Americans couldn’t wait for the Obama presidency to end.
They may still love Obama around The Root’s offices… but don’t expect to see his face on Mount Rushmore anytime soon.

And yet, somehow, the conspiracy theory on Trump and Denmark is going viral throughout the liberalsphere.
Saving taxpayers money and canceling a trip to a minor ally like Denmark — especially when Denmark didn’t want to discuss a major agenda item — makes total sense.
But, of course, the anti-Trump crowd is ready to believe — and spread — anything negative about the president.
And, apparently, the crazier the accusation, the better.
