A gruesome scene unfolded in a quiet Pennsylvania town on Tuesday when a man was arrested for allegedly decapitating his own father — and livestreaming the severed head.
Police say the suspect, 32-year-old Justin Mohn of Middletown Township, posted a live video of the horrific attack online and can be seen in the livestream holding up his father’s severed head.
Media outlets rushed to blame former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, after Mohn made anti-government remarks in the video.
Authorities said the victim was found dead in the bathroom of his Bucks County home on Tuesday after being alerted to the situation.
Police said Mohn had fled the area in the victims car, prompting an urgent manhunt. Authorities were able to track him down some 100 miles away and he was taken into custody without incident.
Mohn has been charged with first-degree murder and abusing a corpse and is being held without bail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for early next month.
The video he allegedly posted shows him making threats against federal law enforcement as he displays his father’s gruesome remains.
Police are still investigating the circumstances and motivations behind this truly disturbing crime that has rocked a normally quiet Pennsylvania community. The sudden and violent nature of the attack has left many shaken and seeking answers.
