President Joe Biden’s troubled son, Hunter, is facing serious legal trouble — and it is going to get much worse this week after shocking new photos emerged.
On top of Republican-led House probes into the Department of Justice’s mishandling of Hunter’s various legal woes, new embarrassing photos surfaced Monday showing Hunter smoking crack-cocaine while driving.
Hunter was also seen driving 172 miles-per-hour in shocking photos around that same time, according to a report by The New York Post.
Just in time to ruin the Biden’s July 4th plans.
It’s just latest in a series of escalating legal problems for the 53-year-old first son. House Republicans on Thursday requested the testimony from nearly a dozen Justice Department officials involved in the investigation of Hunter.
GOP lawmakers have widen their scrutiny into what they claim is improper interference by the agency.
Leaders of the Republican-controlled House Judiciary, Oversight and Accountability, and Ways and Means committees asked in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland for nine officials from the Justice Department and two from the FBI to appear for the interviews to address recent allegations made by two whistleblowers who worked on the federal investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes and foreign business dealings.
“Recent startling testimony from Internal Revenue Services whistleblowers raises serious questions about the Department’s commitment to evenhanded justice and the veracity of assertions made to the Committee on the Judiciary,” Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, James Comer of Kentucky, and Jason Smith of Missouri wrote in the letter to Garland.
Biden recently struck a “sweetheart” agreement with the government to plead guilty to misdemeanor tax offenses. Notably, the plea deal would avert prosecution on a felony charge of illegally possessing a firearm as a drug user, as long as Biden adheres to conditions agreed to in court.
The details of the deal caused furor among Republican critics.
“The reported plea agreement extended to President Biden’s son is a farcical example of precisely that two-tiered approach to criminal justice by the DOJ under your leadership,” Sen. Rick Scott, R-F.L., said in a scathing letter to Garland. “What is the American public to take away from the outcome of this five-year investigation and leniency shown to Hunter Biden on both the federal tax violations and firearms offenses he committed?”
Just days later, pictures from the so-called “Laptop from Hell” were uncovered that showed Hunter committing more crimes. He’s seen allegedly smoking crack-cocaine while driving, and also photographed himself driving 172 mph through Las Vegas.
The photos show Hunter “flashing what looks like a crack pipe and smoking it while driving through a residential neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia, on June 12, 2018, according to the photos uploaded by Marco Polo, a nonprofit firm headed by former Donald Trump aide Garrett Ziegler,” The Post wrote.
“Less than two months later, he was seen racing to Las Vegas on August 1, when he took a snap of the car’s dashboard, revealing that he was going at least 172 mph.”
