Police in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, reported a weird happening in a local Home Depot.
The popular home repair franchise became the site of an exorcism. For the wood.
And the police had to break it up.
Police report that two individuals entered the store and started an exorcism ceremony — and the practice was aimed at the lumber being sold.
The two individuals were asked to leave the store, but had to be escorted out by police.
“3:26pm: Commerce Blvd. @ Home Depot for disorderly people having an exorcism in the lumber isle (sic) for the dead trees,” authorities wrote in a Facebook log. “They were escorted out of the building.”
According to Philly Voice, one police officer familiar with the incident got a laugh out of the ominous ritual.
“There were two people hanging out in the lumber department doing their little exorcism thing,” the officer said. “Some people at the store started picking up that something was happening that was not necessarily normal. Police were called to the store and they were escorted out of the building.”
“It was a séance type of thing for the dead,” he said.
No charges were filed.
