Hillary Clinton simply can’t “quit” Russia.
The very mention of the country is like a trigger to the former Secretary of State, who to this day blames Russia for her failed 2016 presidential campaign.
And to this day, she continues to take every shot he can at trying to connect President Donald Trump and Russia.
Old habits die hard as Clinton is up to her old tricks once again. Thankfully, her latest stunt completely backfired on her.
In response to a report late last week that alleged Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered U.S. Cyber Command to stand down from all planning against Russia, including offensive digital actions, Clinton took to social media to promote the story.
The timing of the move was in lockstep with the Friday meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that was supposed to involve signing a deal that would give the U.S. access to Ukraine’s mineral resources.
However, the deal did not happen following an Oval Office shouting match between the two leaders.
Clinton quickly pounced, posting a picture of Hegseth saying “Wouldn’t want to hurt Putin’s feelings.”

Hegseth promptly responded to Clinton’s veiled attempt at humor by posting a photo of Clinton’s infamous meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov doing a humiliating “reset” that included a big red button.

Clinton was Secretary of State under Barack Obama at the time.
Clinton’s move was meant to stir up controversy that Trump is now playing to Russia given the aftermath of the meeting with Zelensky.
However, under Clinton’s watch Russia invaded Crimea and later flooded troops into Syria to prop up former dictator Bashar al-Assad.
It was one of Hillary Clinton’s most embarrassing moments from her political career.
But Hegseth clearly didn’t let anybody forget about it.
Unfortunately for Clinton, this is the second time in just a few short weeks that she’s put her foot in her mouth on social media when it pertains to the Trump administration.
In early February, newly appointed Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will work on upgrading the country’s aviation system.
“Big News – Talked to the DOGE team. They are going to plug in to help upgrade our aviation system,” Duffy noted in a post on X at the time.
Clinton chimed about the news, tweeting:
“They have no relevant experience. Most of them aren’t old enough to rent a car. And you’re going to let them mess with airline safety that’s already deteriorated on your watch?”
Duffy wasted no time firing back to Clinton, saying:
“Madam Secretary, with all due respect, ‘experienced’ Washington bureaucrats are the reason our nation’s infrastructure is crumbling. You need to sit this one out.”
