Hillary Clinton — the former senator, former secretary of state, and twice-failed candidate for president — has sworn off all future runs for president.
“No, out of the question,” Clinton told the Financial Times in June. “First of all, I expect Biden to run. He certainly intends to run. It would be very disruptive to challenge that.”
Last month on CBS News, the former state secretary was asked whether she’d “ever run for president again.” She bluntly said, “No, no.”
But one strategist seems to think she’s lying.
Dick Morris — former President Bill Clinton’s campaign manager — went on talk radio to voice his theory.
“I see more and more signs that Hillary’s going to run,” Morris said during a Sunday guest spot about the 2024 election. He also predicted a colossal red wave in the midterm elections.
“Hillary, a week ago, a week before, said that Americans do not believe in open borders. These are all signals that she’s going to be the moderate candidate for president. She’s going to say after the election, ‘See the Left cost us the House and the Senate, and if we stay with a left-wing candidate in ’24, we’re going to lose the White House, and I’m the only one who will tack to the center and give us a chance to stick to it.”
Last month, Hillary Clinton condemned Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for busing migrants to other, less overwhelmed states.
“Nobody wants open borders who has any idea how governments and countries work, but nobody wants inhumane, terrible treatment of human beings, either,” Hillary Clinton said on MSNBC last month.
“Some people, like the governor of Texas, would rather have an issue than be part of a solution.”
Like a presidential candidate, Clinton also promoted herself.
“The Senate, when I was there, we passed a bill to actually deal with this,” Clinton said, referring to an unspecified effort for immigration reform.
“A majority of Americans are good-hearted and generous and when people end up on their doorstep in need, they’re going to respond. They’ll feed them and house them and the kids in the AP Spanish class will be let out of high school so they can go and translate. That’s the kind of American spirit that we try to celebrate at the Clinton Global Initiative. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get things done!”

Morris argued that Hillary Clinton was triangulating.
“It’s the strategy I designed for Bill Clinton in 1992 to get the nomination that year. Hillary is just dusting off Bill‘s playbook that I wrote for him and applying it herself this year,” Morris said.
“These are all signals that she is going to be the moderate candidate for president. She’s going to say after the election, ‘See, the left cost us the House and the Senate. If we stay with a left-wing candidate in 2024, we’re going to lose the White House. I’m the only one who will tack to the center and give us a chance at victory.'”
Morris advised Bill Clinton intermittently from 1978 to 1996. He left Clinton’s White House after reportedly letting a prostitute listen to his conversations with the president.
Since then, Morris has been advising Republican campaigns, and he now writes a column for the conservative New York Post.
