In a rare move, President Donald Trump went after two Fox News stars over the weekend — and accused the news channel of reporting “fake news.”
Trump targeted correspondent Gillian Turner and host John Roberts, who was filing in for regular host Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.”
It’s a rare move from Trump, who is normally very supportive of Fox News.
It remains unclear specifically what Trump was responding to, but according to The Hill the Sunday show’s panel discussion made repeated references to the border wall negotiations.
At one point, Turner said the president “fell on his sword on the wall issue.”
Wow, just heard that my poll numbers with Hispanics has gone up 19%, to 50%. That is because they know the Border issue better than anyone, and they want Security, which can only be gotten with a Wall.

Trump’s tweet is referring to a sharp rise in support among Hispanic voters since negotiations for the U.S.-Mexico border wall began.
On Jan. 20, Trump noted that his polling numbers among Hispanic voters had sky rocketed since December.
Trump said his increased popularity was because voters “know the border issue better than anyone.”

“The poll, published last week conducted in partnership with PBS and NPR, found that 50 percent of Latino adults approve of Trump’s job as president, up from 31 percent in December,” The Hill reported last week.
“The poll’s results are based on surveys of 1,023 adults from Jan. 10th through Jan. 13,” The Hill said. “The poll has a margin of error of 3.8 percentage points.”
