One of Fox News’ top political reporters announced on the air that she was leaving her job at the network immediately – and insiders say she is joining CNN.
Fox News’ Kristen Fisher said her appearance on Bret Baier’s “Special Report” was her “last live shot on my last day at Fox News, and I’ve had an incredible run.”
According to The Hill, Fisher is leaving politics and joining CNN in a special reporter coverage space.
She joins a growing list of Fox News stars that have left to join CNN in recent years, including Alisyn Camerota, Dave Briggs, Conor Powell, and Rick Folbaum.
“I started out 6 years ago on the early morning weekend shift. I made it all the way to the White House, which is something that has been at the very top of my career bucket list ever since I was a very little girl,” Fisher announced while live on-air Friday. “But I’ve just realized that there are a few other things on that list that I would like to try to tick off.”
“So before I go I just want to thank Fox for trusting me with this beat and for giving me so many opportunities.”
“And Bret, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you, the entire White House team, and everybody on the ‘Special Report’ team as well,” she said.
Fisher has been Fox News’ White House correspondent since 2019. Her coverage of former President Donald Trump was controversial at times.

Critics like conservative activist Wayne Dupree said CNN was likely a “better fit” for Fisher because of her “unfriendly” coverage of Trump’s administration.
