Fox News host Greg Gutfeld took his liberal co-host Jessica Tarlov to task during Wednesday’s “The Five” after she attempted to explain away yesterday’s deadly anti-ICE shooting at a Dallas ICE detention facility.
Authorities said that Joshua Jahn, 29, attacked at federal vehicles, killing two detainees and injuring another before committing suicide. It was also reported that he etched “anti-ICE” messages on the ammunition used in the deadly attack.
Yesterday’s shooting was two weeks to the day that Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated by a suspected shooter that authorities said was influenced by leftist ideology.
However, Tarlov tried to explain away the motive of yesterday’s shooting claiming that it has become too common to hear words like “fascist and fascism” and that’s a “both sides’ problem.
Gutfeld ripped into his co-host, and called her comments “absolute garbage. When somebody gets murdered, you are saying, ‘How dare you be enraged by it?'”
When Tarlov tried to repeat her statement, Gutfeld cut in with, “No, Jessica, I’ll give you both sides. I agree with you, there is ‘both sides’, on one hand you have the hard left and on the other you have the left.”
Jessica Tarlov asked, “Why are you so ….”
“Because you walk into this room and you’re not reading it,” Gutfeld replied. “There is no both sides… You don’t have the evidence for that.”
Tarlov said, “That’s not true.”
“You can’t say Donald Trump said this, you guys act on it,” he added. “You guys act on it. We don’t.”
Tarlov then proceeded to claim yesterday’s shooter was influenced by some “leftist cabal” or has eyes and “sees what’s going on, maybe there are people in his community of people being picked up from ICE.”
That was enough for Gutfeld, who brought up specific incidents of where the violence was coming from, and it wasn’t coming from the so-called “right.”

Fox News' @greggutfeld WENT OFF on co-host Jessica Tarlov's "both sides" argument regarding political violence:
"We say people are stupid. We say people are wrong, but we don't say they're evil. That is YOUR game.
Then you come in and say, 'This is a mentally ill loner.'

This is the second time in just a week that Gutfeld and Tarlov engaged in a heated exchanged — specifically over the “both sides” argument in the wake of recent political violence.
Last week, Tarlov attempted to explain away the bloody assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk with the same rationale.
“The fact of the matter is, the ‘both sides’ argument not only doesn’t fly, but we don’t care. We don’t care about your ‘both sides’ argument. That s*** is dead,” Gutfeld said.
“For one thing, there’s no cognitive dissonance on our side. On your side, your beliefs do not match reality. So, you’re coming up with these rationalizations like ‘What about this?’ Or ‘What about that?’”
“We are not doing that because we saw it happen. We saw a young, bright man assassinated. And we know who did it,” Gutfeld said.
“We are not coming up with rationalizations. We are calm. We are honest. And we are resolute. We’re not defensive!”
“I understand the defensiveness. I understand why people are saying, ‘What about this?’ and ‘What about that?’ Because if you have to face the underlying facts on this, your life is gonna fall apart because you’re gonna realize you’re not the good guys,” he warned.
