A conviction of former President Donald Trump on any one of the 37 felony charges would effectively mean a life sentence, Fox News legal analyst Johnathan Turley said Tuesday.
Trump’s advanced age — the 45th president is 76-years-old — means he must “run the table” and be found not guilty of all 37 charges or he faces a “terminal” sentence and will die in prison, Turley told Fox.

“The problem is, he’s got to run the table — he’s 76 years old,” Turley said.
“All the government has to do is stick the landing on one count, and he could have a terminal sentence,” he continued. ” You’re talking about crimes that have a 10- or 20-year period as a maximum.”
Turley claimed the statements made by a former lawyer of Trump makes the government’s case “quite strong” and makes the former president’s legal battle an uphill fight.
“Now, we have not heard their other side. Generally, the indictments are a lot stronger on the day they are issued than on the next day, so they may be able to knock down some of these issues,” Turley said.
“But some of the evidence is coming from his former counsel, and these are very damaging statements made against him. It may be hard to move those.”
