The first Fox News star has tested positive for the Wuhan virus.
Jedediah Bila, co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend,” had been off the air since Mar. 29.
Thursday, she finally revealed to her social media followers and Fox News viewers why she was absent.
Bila disclosed that she was suffering from the coronavirus illness along with her husband. But she’s insisting that she’s recovering.
“I’m very much on the mend,” she wrote, “so please don’t worry.”
I know I’ve been a little MIA. I’m actually at home recovering from Covid-19. I’m very much on the mend, so please don’t worry. My husband is also recovering well at home and Hartley luckily did not get sick (Thank you, God, I am forever grateful.🙏)… https://t.co/k4I1JHy7u6

“This is a crazy time in the world, full of so much anxiety and fear,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’ve learned so much this past week and done so much thinking. Know that I’m sending love, peace, and good energy from my family to yours. I’ll be sharing more in coming weeks. Thank you for your messages. I love and miss you all.”

Bila’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis makes her the first known television personality on the network to contract the virus.
Former Fox Business Network host Trish Regan was placed on leave and quietly fired for her comments earlier this month when liberal critics say she suggested that the coronavirus was a hoax.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Fox bosses have followed suit with other networks. The cable news giant has much of it’s on-air talent hosting programs from their homes. The newspaper also writes that Fox officials have distributed thermometers and facial coverings.
Bila joins CNN’s Chris Cuomo and Brooke Baldwin as high profile news anchors diagnosed with the virus.
