It’s no secret that drugs run through the arteries of every major city – but how many people know that former President Barack Obama armed the deadly dealers so they could protect their turf with illegal weapons?
A new case proves just how deadly the administration continues to be, even though he left office almost two years ago.
Federal agents recently busted 20 members of the deadly Sinaloa Mexican drug cartel in the Cleveland area – about as far away from the southern border as you can get.
The gang targeted kids in Maple Heights and the west side of Cleveland, and according to the DEA this was not some petty, street-level drug ring. They were members of one of the largest drug cartels in North America.
The Sinaloa cartel is better known for its famous longtime leader, El Chapo.
His minions came across the border and lived in plain sight (Cleveland is a sanctuary city) while killing American kids with drugs and brutally torturing anyone who crossed them… while laughing the whole time.
They even tortured one of their own dealers, twice, just to send a message to his son. While this was going on, they attended NBA games and bought forfeited property in the area in public sales.
Keith Martin, an assistant DEA agent, said the case “very well could be right out of Hollywood.”
But it was actually out of the Obama administration.
“I don’t think some people realize how significant, and embedded, the cartel is in northeast Ohio,” Martin told Cleveland’s News 5.
Federal agents launched “Operation Loaded Deck” – and kept tight surveillance over the thugs for three years before pouncing.
In the end, 19 of the suspects went to the federal pen… but the story is deeper than a crime story. Way deeper.
When the DEA finally made its move, they found a kilo of fentanyl, 29 kilos of cocaine, eight kilos of heroin, four pounds of marijuana, an estimated $350,000 in cash – and guns. Lots and lots of guns.
Those guns may have been paid for with taxpayer dollars and delivered to the drug dealers by the Obama administration as part of the “Operation Fast and Furious” debacle.
From 2009 to 2011, the Obama administration decided to “walk” a huge number of guns into Mexico. The plan was to sell them to the drug cartels, then track them to bust its foot soldiers.
What could go wrong, right?
Of course, Obama screwed it up. He lost track of 2,000 guns – pistols, shotguns, AK-47s, and more.
The ATF’s deputy attaché in Mexico, Carlos Canino called the program “a perfect storm of idiocy.”
The liberal “Vice News” had to admit that Obama “accidentally helped arm El Chapo.”
If Obama wanted to crack down on the second amendment, he could have started with his own government!
The scandal came blazing into the United States when Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed with one of the guns in 2010.
Attorney General Eric Holder ended up being held in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over documents that might have exposed the depths of the administration’s criminality.
Only a handful of the guns have ever been recovered, usually at crime scenes with many casualties.
Despite all this, Barack Obama said he led was “the first administration in modern history that has not had a major scandal.”
Say what?!
He repeated the phrase at MIT in February: “We didn’t have a scandal that embarrassed us.”
If that’s true, it’s just because Obama is shameless.
His administration is responsible for deaths stretching on almost a decade now – and, agents estimate, at least another two decades to come.
Even out of office, Barack Obama’s actions continue to claim lives, directly and indirectly.
The guns he “walked” over the border are the muscle that keep gangs of illegals crawling our streets, drugs flowing into our children’s veins, and honest Americans terrified of setting foot in our own streets.
Even the left-wing “Jacobin” Magazine said this and other Obama-era misdeeds rank as “far bigger ‘scandals’ than the petty backbiting and vulgar disarray we tend to associate with the scandals of the Trump era.”
Just ask the kids in Maple Heights.
