Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has spent the last week fighting accusations that he sexually assaulted two woman during his high school and colleges days.
On Wednesday, a shocking new allegation was revealed by a third accuser — and considering the subject and timing, experts warn it has the potential to derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
On the eve of Kavanaugh’s hearing over previous sexual misconduct allegations, a woman named Julie Swetnick released a three-page long sworn declaration that she was a witness to Kavanaugh’s excessive drinking, and his inappropriate sexual nature towards women in high school. What she claimed in the letter is disturbing.
Swetnick’s attorney, Michael Avenatti — a frequent public critic of President Donald Trump’s administration — shared the sworn declaration on Twitter and provided a copy to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Avenatti, who also represents porn star Stormy Daniels, wrote, “Below is my correspondence to Mr. Davis of moments ago, together with a sworn declaration from my client. We demand an immediate FBI investigation into the allegations. Under no circumstances should Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed absent a full and complete investigation.”

Kavanaugh has strongly denied these new accusations. stating, “This is ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone. I don’t know who this is and this never happened.”
Swetnick’s sworn declaration detailed, “In approximately 1982, I became the victim of one of these ‘gang’ or ‘train’ rapes where Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh were present.” She added, “During the incident, I was incapacitated without my consent and unable to fight off the boys raping me. I believe I was drugged using Quaaludes or something similar placed in what I was drinking.”
In her statement, Swetnick never states that Kavanaugh was present during her assault, but she does allege that he was present at “gang rapes.”
She claims that she witnessed Kavanaugh “not taking ‘No’ for an answer,” drinking “excessively,” having “physically abusive behavior toward girls,” and making “crude sexual comments.”
Swetnick also claimed she remembers seeing Kavanaugh and other boys line up to take their “turn” on an intoxicated girl.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said that he has lawyers looking into the third accuser’s allegations, but plans to continue Thursday’s hearings on schedule.
“Our lawyers are on it right now, our staff investigators. … I can’t say anything until they get done,” he explained.
Oddly, Avenatti tweeted out a photo of his client while also asking her privacy be respected.

Avenatti has said that Swetnick has held multiple security clearances from the U.S. government.
She claimed in the letter to have “many, many” witnesses that will come forward to corroborate her allegations.
Swetnick has become the third accuser to have surfaced over the past week. The charges have not yet been proven, but some critics have pointed out the similarities in the accusations.
These new and explosive allegations may be the determining factor for whether or not Kavanaugh is appointed to the Supreme Court.
