In a massive shakeup, Fox News Channel is preparing to remake its entire primetime lineup.
Not a single show will remain in it’s current timeslot, reports indicate.
After suffering a post-Tucker Carlson ratings crash, a desperate Fox News is making a “fearless” and ambitious shakeup, The Drudge Report said early Wednesday.
“WORLD EXCLUSIVE: FOXNEWS SETS NEW SCHEDULE,” the popular website’s headline read.
“FOXNEWS is preparing to announce an ambitious new schedule, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, a schedule where every hour of primetime will change!” Drudge reported. “TOP SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE: ‘IT’S OUR BOLDEST AND MOST FEARLESS LINE-UP EVER’…”
An insider reportedly told the news aggregate site that Sean Hannity’s show Hannity would move from it’s longtime 9:00 p.m. time slot to fill Carlson’s former 8:00 p.m. slot.
Greg Gutfeld is expected to see his popular Gutfeld! show moved from 11:00 p.m. to an earlier primetime slot.
And Fox News Jesse Waters show will also be moved from it’s 7:00 p.m. a primetime slot.
Carlon was reportedly fired in April as part of a secret verbal agreement between Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems made during their $787 million settlement.
Since his departure from the 8:00 p.m. primetime slot, ratings have crated at the network. Carlson’s temporary replacements have managed to retain only half his original audience, which created urgency at the network to make a big move.
Since leaving, Carlson has been negotiating with Fox News Channel executives to be released from his $20 million annual contract so he can launch a show on Twitter.
