Donald Trump’s stunning discovery in Mexico

The Supreme Court’s birthright citizenship ruling is barely a week old, but one Texas hospital was already caught red handed taking advantage.

Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas, placed billboards in Mexico near the U.S. border advertising “Birth Packages in South Texas” — natural deliveries starting at $3,950, C-sections for $5,525.

The signs appeared in English and Spanish near a border crossing about five miles from the hospital, directing expectant mothers to the website havemybabyinTEXAS.com. The hospital confirmed to Fox News it was responsible for the campaign, which began in 2021.

Abbott ordered the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to investigate the hospital Tuesday for violations of state law.

“Birth tourism is an illegal practice that exploits the extraordinary hospitality that the United States and Texas offer to millions of foreign travelers each year,” Abbott wrote. “Thousands of foreign travelers come to the United States under false pretenses to give birth and secure citizenship for their children. American citizenship is not for sale and Texas will not permit our healthcare system to be used as a magnet for birth tourism.”

President Donald Trump also weighed in, condemning the illegal practice and warning that it would not be tolerated. He called on the Supreme Court to review their prior ruling based on the stunning new evidence.

“Signs and Billboards are being put up all over our Southern Border, and Mexico, advertising BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP, with ‘Deliveries starting at $4000,'” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Likewise, similar signs going up all over our Country. Billions of Dollars will be illegally made by this SCAM, with Citizenship going to anyone willing to pay. It will be, by far, the number one way of becoming a citizen, and then the entire family will be allowed to follow. Not sustainable. NOBODY SAW THIS COMING!!! AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP IS NOT FOR SALE! In fact, that is a crime, and therefore, the Supreme Court’s ruling is wrong.”

Trump announced that the White House legal team will “immediately” seek a rehearing before the Supreme Court on birthright citizenship, which is a rare procedural move.

Mission Regional is not alone. Texas AG Ken Paxton is already suing a Houston-based operation called De’Ai Postpartum Care Center, which Paxton says has facilitated more than 1,000 births for Chinese nationals who traveled to the U.S. specifically to obtain citizenship for their children. The Daily Wire visited the homes allegedly used to house the many pregnant Chinese nationals awaiting delivery. Only one person answered the door.

Within hours of the June 30 SCOTUS ruling, the Department of Justice directed federal prosecutors to prioritize birth tourism investigations. The State Department has authority under a 2020 regulation to deny B visitor visas when a consular officer has reason to believe the applicant’s primary purpose is giving birth for citizenship — a tool the administration is now deploying aggressively.

The Supreme Court ruled that birthright citizenship is protected by the Constitution. It said nothing about the industry selling it.
