President-elect Donald Trump tapped former ICE Director Tom Homan as his new “border czar” Sunday, selecting a hardline immigration enforcer who promised Americans haven’t “seen sh*t yet” when it comes to deportations — and a compilation video of his biggest moments just went viral.
“I will run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen,” Homan declared at a July immigration panel in Washington.
“Trump comes back in January, I’ll be on his heels coming back,” he promised.
The appointment delivers on Trump’s campaign promise for a fierce crack down on illegal immigration and drug smuggling after what his team calls a border crisis under Biden. Nearly 3 million illegal crossings occurred in fiscal year 2024 alone, with over 10.8 million encounters since 2021, according to Homeland Security.
Homan’s role, which doesn’t require Senate confirmation, extends beyond just the southern border. Trump announced on Truth Social that Homan will oversee “the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security” plus “all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.”
The former ICE chief promised “humane” deportations during an interview on Fox News, but said that millions of illegal immigrants would soon be shown the exit.
“It’s going to be a well-targeted, planned operation conducted by the men and women of ICE. They do this daily. They’re good at it.”
Homan’s earlier warnings tell a stark story — and a compilation video of his boldest moment just went viral.
“If you’re here illegally, you better be looking over your shoulder,” Homan said at the National Conservatism Conference. “No one’s off the table.”
And he went head-to-head against Democratic Party leaders during a hearing last year that grabbed headlines, and told “60 Minutes” that he’d avoid family separation by deporting “families together.”

Homan replaces Vice President Kamala Harris, who visited the border just twice during Biden’s term. The announcement comes days after Trump’s landslide victory, where he captured 312 electoral votes and swept all seven swing states.
“I’ve known Tom for a long time,” Trump said. “And there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders.”
