Polls indicate that Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is on the ropes — and former President Donald Trump may have just finished the Democrats for good.
With Harris down in almost every battleground state poll, Trump will record an interview with Joe Rogan this Friday in Austin, Texas, marking his first appearance on America’s most popular podcast.
It’s a strategic move by the Trump campaign to win the battle for young voters just days ahead of the November 5 election.
The interview, confirmed by Trump campaign officials, gives the Republican nominee access to Rogan’s massive audience of 17.5 million YouTube subscribers and 14 million Spotify followers, predominantly young male voters crucial to both campaigns.
The scheduled appearance follows a complex history between Trump and Rogan.
In August, Trump criticized the podcaster on Truth Social after Rogan praised then-independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024,” he wrote.
Rogan’s own stance on Trump has evolved.
“I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form,” he said in 2022, and called Trump an “existential threat to democracy.” But Rogan has shifted his tone in recent years, and recently praised Trump’s economic record.
Trump “really did try to cut some of the bullsh*t down that’s going on in this country,” Rogan said.
The interview is the latest win in Trump’s recent campaign podcast strategy. Trump has appeared on “Full Send” and “Bussin with the Boys.”
Vice President Kamala Harris has replicated the move, and recently spoke on “Call Her Daddy,” which boasts the largest female audience in America. Harris is reportedly also in talks to appear on Rogan’s show, but nothing is confirmed.
“The Joe Rogan Experience,” known for its freewheeling conversational style and questioning of institutions and the mainstream media, typically draws massive viewership. Its most popular episode, featuring Elon Musk in 2018, has garnered over 68 million views on YouTube alone.
The release date for Trump’s episode has not been announced, but it will air before Election Day.
