President Donald Trump is riding high.
He has accomplished more in the last week than many presidents do in an entire term.
His approval rating just hit its highest level in history.
He has a slim majority in both chambers of Congress and a united party behind him.
Seemingly, the entirely country wants to befriend him and find a way to honor him for delivering us from former President Joe Biden’s administration.
The wind’s at his back—and it may soon be in his face, because a member of Congress has proprosed one of the greatest honors any American can ever get.
Rep. Addison McDowell, R-N.C., has introduced a bill to name one of the two airports in Washington, D.C., after Donald Trump.
A new bill would rename Washington Dulles International Airport as the Donald J. Trump International Airport.
“We have entered the golden age of America largely thanks to President Trump’s leadership,” said McDowell. “It is only right that the two airports servicing our nation’s capital are duly honored and respected by two of the best presidents to have the honor of serving our great nation.”
The motion has come in part to fight back against the endless lawfare the Left directed against the 45th and 47th president of the United States: the Russian collusion hoax, two impeachments, an attempt to ban him from appearing on the ballot, and several prosecutions including a legally questionable conviction for 34 felonies.
“After so many tried to ‘cancel’ President Trump during his post-Presidency, Representative McDowell’s bill will enshrine President Trump’s legacy on one of our capital airports,” said Rep. Brian Jack, R-Ga.
The bill just dropped, and it’s already a hit with conservatives.
“Brilliant idea!” said Rob Bluey, the president and executive editor of The Daily Signal, a conservative news website formerly associated with The Heritage Foundation.

But not everyone is happy. Democrats are trying to come up with reasons to block the bill.
Some have objected that memorials of this kind are almost never named after someone who is still alive, and that’s usually true—usually, but not always.
The other significant D.C. airport started out as the National Airport before being named Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
The legislation was signed in 1998, by President Bill Clinton—and Reagan was still alive, although then suffering deeply from the throes of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Speaking of President Clinton, anyone who has flown through Little Rock, Arkansas, has had to pass through the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport…and Hillary was never even president.
If Hillary Clinton can have an airport named after her while she’s still alive, can’t the man who beat Hillary Clinton have an airport named after him?
Unlike Bill and Hillary’s airport, Dulles is a major air hub, the second-largest airport in the nation’s capital city. More than 26 million people from all over the world passed through Dulles last year.
Part of the problem is that is would upset the town’s delicate bipartisan charade.
True, the airport is currently named after John Foster Dulles, who served as Secretary of State for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. But foreign policy was more bipartisan then—and to be honest, few people remember anything about the former holder of the most influential Cabinet position.
But the real problem is it would honor a man the Beltway Establishment of both parties hate and despise.
But despite their hatred, the Bidens, Harrises, Cheneys, and Haleys of the world could not contain him.
In fact, Dulles already looks like it’s been renamed in his honor.
“I am at the Dulles Airport. So happy to see the DC Marketplace Store been transformed into a Trump store,” said anti-Communist activist Xi Van Fleet.

Trump merchandise may be everywhere, beckoning to the throngs of Americans who love their new president and want to take home anything to remind them of him—but unlike his predecessor, Donald Trump is not for sale.
That’s what qualifies him to have a major international airport named in his honor.
