Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancee Bettina Anderson were supposed to be planning a wedding. Instead, they’re waiting for a U.S.-Iran war to end.
Insiders tell The Daily Mail that the couple has put their wedding ceremony on hold indefinitely and will not walk down the aisle until the ongoing war in the Middle East is over.
“They will have a celebration at the due time, at the White House,” a source told The Daily Mail. “But you know they’re waiting for the right moment because of what’s happening in the world. They want to wait until that settles.”
When asked directly whether the delay was tied to the Iran war, the insider said yes
“That is what I believe is happening,” they said. “They’re waiting and so they may have a very, very intimate, extremely intimate celebration at the White House, just family members.
“But still, when it’s appropriate. And at the moment it’s not appropriate. If everything sorts itself out, and it’s a good time to do it. But not right now.”
The news comes just two weeks after Anderson’s extravagant “Enchanted Garden” bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago drew an estimated 60 guests from Palm Beach society and the upper ranks of the Trump political world. Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, Lara Trump, Arabella Kushner, and Marla Maples were all on hand for the celebration. First Lady Melania Trump did not attend.
Don Jr. surprised the crowd by showing up with a bouquet of roses and offering a toast to his bride-to-be.
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Bettina,” he said. “She is smart, loving, and caring.”

Anderson, 39, is a Palm Beach socialite, philanthropist, and model. While this will be Anderson’s first marriage, Trump Jr., 48, was previously married to Vanessa Trump from 2005 to 2018 and was later engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle, who now serves as U.S. Ambassador to Greece.
The couple first sparked romance rumors in August 2024 and went public at the 2024 Republican National Convention. President Donald Trump announced their engagement at a White House holiday party that December.
A White House wedding would “set them up for future political roles, whether Don Jr. goes after the presidency or something else.” But multiple insiders now say that is unlikely to happen until the war is resolved.
TMZ reports the couple is weighing two alternative options to a White House wedding: a quick elopement within the next month with a larger celebration to follow, or a small, low-key ceremony nust with close family.
But for now, the wedding — like the war — remains on hold.
