For the first time, there is video showing Sen. Mitch McConnell following his reported “cardiac arrest” at his Washington, D.C. home.

For weeks, speculation has circulated that McConnell’s health was far worse than his office was willing to admit.

New footage published Friday shows EMS personnel wheeling an unmoving McConnell on a stretcher outside his Washington, D.C., home on the morning of June 14.

The video, shot by a McConnell neighbor, shows the 84-year-old Kentucky Republican being loaded into an ambulance. His face is not visible in the footage. His lower legs are covered by an orange blanket, with bare feet visible at the edge. McConnell was not wearing an oxygen mask when he was transported, according to reports.

“One of my neighbors is like, ‘Oh yeah, it’s Mitch, I saw his face,'” the anonymous resident told CNN, who first published the eyewitness video.

Leaked emergency dispatch audio confirmed the report of a call for “cardiac arrest” at McConnell’s address that morning for an unconscious victim, with a responder saying that “CPR [was] in progress.”

Since then, insiders have reportedly claimed McConnell is “brain dead” and unlikely to ever recover.

McConnell’s office has said only that he had been “admitted to the hospital” and was “receiving excellent care.” In the 26 days since, McConnell has not been seen or heard from by the public.

Take a look at some of the rumors swirling on social media –

The new ambulance video does not show McConnell’s face. It does not confirm his current condition.

And it does not resolve the swirling questions about whether his office is trying to run out Kentucky’s August 3 special election deadline to keep a potential MAGA candidate out of the U.S. Senate.
