Newly discovered emails show that former President Barack Obama’s administration was conspiring to undermine Donald Trump — even after the 2016 election.
That’s according to the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, which found an email weeks after Trump was elected between top-level Obama officials where they discussed targeting the president-elect.
It has critics calling for Obama and his political allies to testify.

In a Nov. 21, 2016 exchange, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Kathleen Kavalec and former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr planned to use the fraudulent Steele dossier and the mainstream media to sabotage the Trump campaign.
“In discussing a meeting with the potential source for a Mother Jones article accusing the Trump campaign of taking money from a Russian-American oil magnate, as well as Christopher Steele’s connection to that source, Kavalec emails Ohr citing the accusatory Mother Jones article,” Judicial Watch reported.
Ohr tells Kavalec, “I really hope we can get something going here.”
Kavalec replied that she was reviewing the notes from an Oct. 2016 meeting with Steele, “I see Chris said [Simon Kukes] has some connection to Serge Millian.”

Millian, a foreign-born businessman, was an alleged source for the Steele dossier. The dossier, funded in part by former Hillary Clinton’s campaign, has been debunked as false.
The email exchange then ends with the two discussing meeting in private. It was initially deleted but was later uncovered by Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act request in Mar. 2018.
