Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., has struggled with her mental well-being so badly that her daughter has power of attorney — and the family is already fighting each other over the money.
Yet Feinstein remains in power in the U.S. Senate, where Democrats have recently been caught on video ordering a confused Feinstein to vote.
According to one report, Feinstein’s only child — Katherine Feinstein, 66 — has been granted “power of attorney over her mother’s legal affairs” and is fighting for her mother’s money… while Dianne is still alive.
Katherine “filed two lawsuits against Senator Feinstein’s co-trustees,” the report said.
And while it is believed Katherine only has power of attorney to fight the legal battles and doesn’t have direct control of the Democratic leader’s bank accounts yet, the move again calls into question Feinstein’s overall ability to serve.
The family members are fighting over whether to sell the California senator’s beach house, which has fallen into disrepair, and how to spend the 90-year-old Democrats late husband’s massive fortune.
The fight has raised eyebrows around the United States, where Feinstein’s deteriorating health has been a cause for concern for years.
Just asking? Feinstein's daughter is power of attorney over ailing Diane Feinstein, but yet, Feinstein is capable of serving Congress? https://t.co/PNQG5VxlBS

According to The New York Times —
In one legal dispute, the family is fighting over what’s described as Senator Feinstein’s desire to sell a beach house in an exclusive neighborhood in Stinson Beach, north of San Francisco. In another disagreement, the two factions are at odds over access to the proceeds of Mr. Blum’s life insurance, which Senator Feinstein says she needs to pay for her growing medical expenses….The first lawsuit, over the beach house, says the property is in disrepair, that Senator Feinstein no longer wishes to use it, and that she wants to sell it this summer or fall.
