The left-wing “Cancel Culture” mob ceaselessly uses social media to try to catch prominent Republicans in embarrassing situations and “gotcha” moments for political gain.
And they don’t care if they have to spread fake news to do it.
Their latest target is Texas Senator Ted Cruz and now he’s being investigated for a bogus claim.
A photo that spread on Twitter this week claimed to show, “Ted Cruz on a commercial flight, refusing to wear a mask.”
American Airlines subsequently announced it was investigating the incident.

The only problem? The whole story was completely bogus.
First, it’s obvious from the photo that Cruz is drinking coffee. Second, subsequent photos from the same flight showed him clearly wearing a mask.

And who is this Hosseh Enad who spread the story to begin with? Just a concerned citizen?
Not exactly. He’s actually a staffer with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
After receiving backlash online for his dubious reporting, Enad claimed that Cruz should have somehow drank the hot coffee around the mask …
Sure — good luck with that.
The entire notion that Cruz doesn’t take the coronavirus pandemic seriously is, of course, silly. His home state of Texas is seeing a rise in cases.
And back in March, Cruz voluntarily self-quarantined for 10 days after coming into contact with infected individuals at a Republican conference.
Of course, the media and the Twitter mob never let the facts get in the way of a story.
