Chicago, Illinois is a city infamous for dirty Democratic politicians.
The state’s leader is following the corrupt tradition, according to a bombshell report.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker is making a secret deal behind closed doors with China –– the origin nation of the Wuhan flu and the government which lied about its spread to the world.
Pritzker is arranging for the purchase of millions in masks and gloves to be flown directly to the state on private charter jets from China.
The deal was exposed when Sun-Times noticed unusual expenses in the Illinois comptroller expenditure report –– more specifically “two invoices, each for $888,275, to FedEx Trade Networks Transport for ‘aircraft charter flight to Shanghai, China for COVID-19 response. … Prepayment required.'”
After all it was just Tuesday that Pritzker told CNN’s Erin Burnett that he wasn’t expecting federal aid from the White House and President Donald Trump.
He claims the federal government has done nothing for the state of Illinois.
“We have gotten very little help from the federal government. It’s fine. I’ve given up on any promises that have been made,” he said. “I hope something will get delivered from the federal government, but I don’t expect it anymore.”
So he’s sending American dollars to China to make sure that Trump and the federal government don’t get the equipment first.
Pritzker is one of many governors who have expressed fears that states have been left to compete with each other over a shortage of medical supplies. Perhaps most notably, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo grabbed headlines for his spats with Trump over ventilators.
Though Cuomo and Trump have traded jabs in the media, as time moved on the two New Yorkers have gradually come to help each other in the coronavirus fight.
As for the equipment in Illinois, Pritzker’s team is sticking to a code of secrecy surrounding the secret flights.
The Sun-Times spoke with an unnamed source who gave minimal details, but confirmed Pritzker’s reported secrecy around the political move.
