Dem leader says voters too stupid, and should hate Trump

Rep. Jasmine Crocket, D-T.X., sparked a firestorm of controversy Wednesday on “The View” by suggesting Americans need “better education” to understand Trump’s policies — because his moves are popular with voters, unlike Democrats.

Responding to Trump’s 53% approval rating and polls showing 70% of Americans believe he’s fulfilling campaign promises, Crockett complained that voters were simply too stupid to understand why they should hate the president.

“My takeaway is just like the election: we’ve got to do better at education,” Crockett said about American voters. “People don’t understand, but you will understand when those hospitals in rural America start closing down even more.”

The Texas congresswoman continued to make unapologetic apocolyptic predictions about the Trump administrations austerity measures.

“You will understand when you don’t have your Social Security. You will understand when your Medicare goes away. You will understand as planes continue to fall out of the sky,” she claimed.

During the exchange with co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, Crockett said that Americans will soon miss former President Joe Biden’s administration, because he was easily controlled by the party elites.

“Soon, you will understand why it’s important to maybe have somebody that isn’t loud and ridiculous, and maybe ‘Sleepy Joe’ is what we wanted because we could at least sleep at night,” she said.

Crockett also expressed skepticism that Democratic Party leaders would be willing to work with the Trump administration to cut federal spending in the upcoming budget.

“I absolutely support that we should not be voting for this funding bill because it is going to gut the things that we care about, and I don’t believe that we can enter into good faith negotiations with people that literally could care less about their word,” she said.

The comments come as Trump enjoys his highest approval ratings since entering politics in 2015. A Real Clear Politics average shows Trump with 49% approval compared to 45.3% disapproval, while a CBS poll indicates 53% approval overall.

“Like the rest of the world, we’ve got a bit of whiplash, because for some people, even those that voted for him, they said, well, we’ve been here before, and we didn’t fall apart the last time he was here, so we won’t fall apart this time,” Crockett claimed, and complained that Trump was now “10 times worse.”
