The Dallas Cowboys are no stranger to generating wild headlines.
Now the storied franchise is already making major news just weeks before they step on the football field.
According to ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter, there was a fire that sparked up Tuesday in an empty guest room that was in the franchise’s hotel in California that they call home during training camp.
Fortunately, there were no injuries.

California seems like a odd location for training camp, but according to reports, every offseason since 2012, the Cowboys have been holding training camp at a hotel complex that is close to their Oxnard, California, practice fields.
Before that year, Dallas switched back and forth between Oxnard and San Antonio, Texas.
The Cowboys open their season on Sept. 8 against the Cleveland Browns.
